Lindsey Rowan, MS, Integrative Nutritionist

The Little Garden Foodie Approach

I developed a passion for cooking, eating fresh produce, exploring new foods, and improving my health while living on a budget in New York City.  Born in Indiana, I loved exploring the city’s farmers markets, sharing new recipes, varied cuisines, and the exposure to new ways of cooking.  The interest and, frankly, love of food led me to study for a Master’s degree in nutrition, and a career in which I work with clients to help them enjoy and live a happier and healthier lifestyle.

My approach to health and healing motivates people to make sustainable shifts in their health to prevent and treat chronic illness.  Changes, even small changes, to your diet and health have a lasting impact on your well-being.  I know that one size doesn’t fit all and together, we will find the right approach and will work with your time constraints, budget and personal tastes. The father of modern medicine is credited with saying, “Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food”.  Whether you are dealing with acute or chronic health issues or desire new ideas for a more nutritious meal plan for you and/or your family, I would love to work with you.

Lastly, I’ll just say this – I still have trouble keeping my husband’s hand out of the candy corn bag and I rarely say no to my kids asking for a summer ice cream cone.  Our lives are meant for enjoyment, and my goal is to help maximize your health and happiness with a gentle touch.
